of the biggest cultural celebration of its kind in Australia ~ in Queensland's capital.
Musgrave Park Family Fun Day held on the Friday of NAIDOC week each year, delivers family friendly entertainment and activities to showcase aspects of Australia's First Nations people, culture and heritage through various mediums of performing arts, traditional foods, arts and crafts, to contemporary aspects promoted by First Nation Entrepreneurs.
Accompanied with engagement by local / state government, corporate, private and community service providers to support and enhance community access and participation across all sectors; including health, education, the arts, business development, employment and training, to name a few.
Musgrave Park Family Fun Day has been made possible by the community’s contributions and support since its inception 1992. From humble beginnings with Volunteers and Indigenous Performers donating their time and talent, Indigenous organisations’ stall exhibits, and information dissemination. Through the years exhibits have evolved with creative and interactive community engagement, an increase of contemporary and traditional Food stalls, Arts and Crafts by First Nations Artists and Entrepreneurs, accompanied with ‘free’ amusement rides and activities for the children and tasty treats; something for the whole Family.
In 2024 we celebrate our 30th Festival!
This event is the largest of its kind in Australia and brings together First Nations peoples and wider communities,
from across Brisbane, Queensland, near and far.
